Now that I have you
right where you were
never expected
what do I do?
From somewhere
out of the blue
came the slight touch
of such emotional words
and even now;

I can't be sure that I heard
that feeling felt
through twinkling brown eyes

or is it the way that you leave me
all wrapped up in sighs.

If this is that thing called love
then I guess I must be infected
but I'm shakin' my head...

you were never expected.

If the sun never rises
I want to go down in flames
I want the last thing I hear
to be you whisperin' my name.
Each moment together
is time that we borrow
so hold me tight
and love me like
there's no tomorrow.

Donna, I have never read a poem of yours that failed to impress and move me.

"Now that I have you
right where you were
never expected
what do I do?"

~ So cute, clever ~ and sweet.

May I suggest you hang on and enjoy the ride! lol

Love to you,

Linda

The greatest gifts are often those we never expected... or thought we deserved. *S*

I really like this... reading it leaves a smile! *S*

Well done, very well done.  sometimes great
things come wrapped in most anything, or
nothing at all.
