A Portal

Through a portals chaos lane
I tried to find a path of sane
I walked among the giant trees
And felt the title of the breeze

The grass the greenest I have seen
The flowers prettiest ever been
A brook of water cruse a lane
Rippling in a sight of bane

But shadows bit those heels of grace
A garment full of woven lace
An infinitesimal state of store
The substance of a chaos core

And in the footsteps that befell
I also saw the flames of hell
Consuming all that stood in kind
Eating up the sane of find

It was a scene of time and pour
This portals store this open door

DITTO< DITTO.....definitely ditto...I hope
you are well,  or are still on the mend and
getting well.   You are missed when you are

Sy,
It's good to see that nothing altered your heart! How lovely to see you again. Welcome back. Remember, take it easy. Writing must now become your primary activity.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Sweet, sweet Sy ... I do believe I have been lost in this same portal myself. I'm glad you found a way back out to pen us this great poem.

I'll tell you what. If you find yourself there again, watch for me, and we'll get back out together.

Best wishes and grrrreat big hugs,
/Kit

Dear Seymour,
welcome back! In this beautiful poem I find your usual mastery and a touch of paradise and one of hell. The green grass and the flowers are the goal, but it seems every now and then we get lost on sideways ... yet without the shadow zones we would never fully enjoy the sunlight.

Take it easy!
Love and big hugs.

There you are! Long time no 'sigh'! Gosh, you've certainly been missed!

I am so relieved that you are staying on this side of the portal's door!!!

Great to see you back!

Angel hugs 'n kisses,
EA

I felt a little sigh today,
When I saw our Sy on this page,
Knowing he was getting better
Like fine wines also do with age.

I savored a sip of his poetry
It literally made me drunk!
I confess I lie but at the very least,
It cleared up my "Missing Seymour Funk!"

I see you are doing your mind exercises, and we sure missed you.

And through your portal I did look
to find you by a rippling brook
aware of every pretty flower
and flames from Hell that all devour.

This portal shared like open door
by Seymours poetry once more...

Thank you once again Seymour for an insightful read,

Ivor
