Living One Day at a Time

It holds to its capacity,
balanced by gravity,
and force in-between…

Force unseen…

Pushing up to balance pushing down.
Pushing the opposite:
a smile
a frown…

Happy is not sad
apart from the force
to seize its place
save the opposite
will the heart be clad…

A somber bandage
holds to its capacity
a hope for healing
and soon, with time
its leaning…

Phases of the moon:
one force unseen
save the ocean’s blue and green.

What is a year without a month?
And a month without a week?
And a week without a day?
All but a struggle to obtain another…

Every second of life
is for living,
apart from struggle and strife

Choose peace and joy, and life
one day at a time.

Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed:
blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
~Jesus Christ

Good advice, JL!  I think there are many unseen forces around trying to balance our lives and I feel for them.  Whew!  What a job to have considering what we humans are like.  One day at a time is good - it gets us there eventually.

Most excellent write!
Enjoyed the read.

In the midst of winter,
I found there lives within me..
An invincible summer.

JL,
Sometimes the clarity, with which your heart beats, is simply stunning.
I enjoyed every line here...and this one, rendered me speechless.
