.

You can tell
This beach house
Hasn’t been used much
In awhile

One has to imagine
Men and women
Out for a walk or swim
Dressed in Victorian clothes

Or perhaps ourselves
The way it was
Earth shoes blue jeans
Long flowing hair

Traces of how
Our own late summers were

My jacket
Over your shoulders
When the air was cool

ahhhh... I was the earth shoes, blue jeans and long flowing hair... the beach baby, always crashing with the waves. Now I am the swaying pine trees, and the river with its cypress knees, and slow current drifting. It seems right, as I am happiest in that little boat, with his jacket still over my shoulders if the air turns cool.
You bring me memories ~ thank you.

Beautifully done, as always!
