Insanity

If all mankind were madmen
and nobody was sane,
the world would be an awful place
where life would be in vain.

No reason for our actions,
except from twisted brain,
with people doing stupid things
and making chaos reign.

It’s not a pretty picture,
not the one I’d like to see.
Are we all not lucky folks,
we have our sanity.

But the world can be an awful place
where madness can be found.
Death and destruction common ground
for those who look around.

The reasons for this misery
is pretty clear to see,
some wish us all to think like them,
that’s not insanity?

Changed the title of this from 'Sanity', looks like I was insane to do so!
