Nom de Plume

I'd like to talk about the folk
who hide behind a mask.
Especially schizophrenic one’s
who know their time has passed.
The ones who like to talk a lot
about the things they know.
And know they're always, always, right.
their best side tells them so.

Who are the fools who risk their all
by showing their own name.
Some even show their face as well
are they bloody insane?
If everybody says they're crap
they’ll have no place to hide,
but have to learn to take the blow
and see the other’s side.

I wouldn’t like to get confused
with those with pseudonym,
for this is just an artist choice
the way that’s right for him.
I’m only really speaking of
the ones who hide in shame
in case, for comments on their work
they have to take the blame.

If you’ve a name for both of you
that helps you on your way,
please don’t forget to take the pills
you should have everyday.
At least produce some poetry
that’s written as a team.
Might I suggest togetherness
becomes your special theme!

The moment created this second, is a  moment that's going to last.
It lives the full spectrum of time, the future, the present and past.

Crawl out of your hole
you maggot
Up and show your face
We dont want nasty people
Hanging round this place
Oh dear I think I blew it
Spoken out aloud
Just like some old Vicar
Shouting at his crowd
Still we know exactly
Who these people are
Like those pathetic monsters
Behind the wheels of cars
Strong and brave outspoken
When locked behind closed doors
When took to task directly
Crawling on all fours
OK I might be biased
But I think all the same
If some one wants to pick on you
At least tell you their name

This made me smile. Still, be kind man. A lot of the people you're talking about are insecure.

not sure the cause behind these poems, although I have more than one name and none are my real...each for a different style in writing, when I choose to.

But I enjoyed the rhythm and rhyme in each.

I was just having fun writing this and did not wish to infer anything about people using 'non de plumes' (though I suppose I did, didn't I?}

My humble apologies if I upset anybody (unless of course it was Eric!)

Have Fun,

Ivor
