In a state of disrepair...

He's singing his theme tune
in the smokey back room
he'll be lime lit soon.

His memory's at war, breaking down the doors trying to find the score
Who had the tabs in the back of the class? He never thought to ask.
It's too late now. The song has begun and will be sung to the last

Even if he doesn't know the chords
and the notes cut like rusted swords
Even if the chorus is utterly unrehearsed.
The words he didn't learn are sung in reverse
and it all goes on verse after endless verse

If he'd listened first the melody might not hurt
with refrains of pain distorting every verse.
Singing in tune instead of tuning out the world.

You won't fail with the major scale
if you see that life is simply...

Do Re Mi

"I wanna bleed
Show the world all that I have inside
I wanna scream
Let the blood flow that keeps me alive"

Bleed by Cold
