I can't explain why I feel so scared
of what the future holds.
At times I like to shield my eyes from it
pretending everything is calm
when in fact there are storms erupting

everywhere.

If I stand still
so still
then maybe pain and uncertainity
will pass me by,
drifting away
so only light shines down.

Or I could just hide away from prying eyes
so I do not have to answer
to anothers demands, expectations
and wishes
that I cannot make true.

How I wish I could be sheltered,
how I wish the world would stop
just for one moment
so I can catch my breath
and remind myself
of the person I used to be.

I understand this all too well, Jenna. You've captured a feeling many of us can relate to here. Much enjoyed!

Best wishes,
/Kit
