Each moment

Each moment time has past me by
Each word I write is cast in fly
The quickness of the up hill run
Is fun until the downs begun?

Beyond belief the fast of race
There is no cast to slow the pace
The process of the wear and tear
Is eminent each flare of bare

And time collects its toll of drain
And lace by lace undoes the skein
Until it bares the core of bare
Shows every wrinkle every care

Options turn a darker blue
The wishing well has lost its spew
And contemplation my dear horse
Can no longer ride the course

He bows his spoof on shaky legs
And pours his hoof in dusty dregs

SeymourLove~

Each moment that you poetically share
is evidence, to me, that you truly care
for friends in wait,
who anticipate
the morn
of your words
in soft adorn~

You 'age' well, my friend~

Good morning, T-Man!

You may not be as fleet of foot as you once were, but there is the heart of a stallion still beating in your magnificent sonneteering self!

As for your writing? ~ You continue to be absolutely brilliant!

So let the horse now walk by you
and cast your eye upon the view
of vast green meadows and so much more
for every day is beauty restored.

Have been reading you...
and finally a day to say thanks

....................................
The quickness of the up hill run
Is fun until the downs begun?
....................................

In every picture, there is a certain spot that catches the eye and lets the imagination play, there is sweet irony and also reality in this:

Worth peddling uphill for the free ride down?

Climbing mountains seems hard on the way up, it's harder coming down though!

I think the secret is to enjoy both the up and the down, I've certainly had a lot of both and both can either bring ecstasy or misery.

Mind you there is one up and down that is usually fun (or is that for another forum?)

I also love, and am intrigued by, a turn of phrase you use, which I originally picked up in another piece and thought it was to keep rhythm (Now I know it is the mind of the poet):

fast of race, flare of bare, toll of drain, etc.

Your poetry is a delight to read and carries
simple reality in every line.....

I am only a mere seventeen
From this poem I view what you have seen
you might be old and turning grey
But your flame still shines so far away

Bravo to you on one of the most life bearing poems I have ever read
