going nowhere and doing nothing
are all that are important really
if you get there fast enough
and are religious in your efforts
to accomplish it with zeal

but you knew that about my eyes
as you had worn them often
with the matching nothing else
the low cut one in morning
by the windows overlooking nowhere

you wrote me poems about love
like the virgin tick talking
to the promiscuous bat
about virginity's rush
from the nectar of second hand life

and then you would laugh
on your tiptoes in highheels
little girl womaning secrets
I thought you were entering
the dark places of my room

but you were really leaving
someone else's daylight
and needed coffee for your nerves
so I was the doctor in your prison
searching for an addictive cure

for your freckled shoulder lonely

Hey D

it sounds as if you were accepting things as they were...as though, to you, nothing else mattered, at that point in time... "but loving her"...a place we've all been...at one time or another in our lives...you loved her more...

In answer to you question, to my "come er" remark on your other poem...no, I wouldn't back away....as long as it was truly friendship nothing more, nothing less...(smiles)

hugs and best wishes always...

I will reiterate my prior statement.
If there’s a cure,

I don’t want it…

Dr. Dark~
No doubt your research
has soothed many a shoulder;
freckled and not...

pipcrew..thanks to each of you...it is a pleasure to see how you read between the windows on my scribble...in this case, it is just the journey..enjoying it moment by moment, not keeping track of where and hows...

thanks again gang

I so enjoy reading your work.  It is done with great ability to intertwine the meanings and give a mystery.  Great work, and so very true.  Freckled shoulder lonely, great stuff.

Your poems take me on a journey that I thoroughly enjoy.  I kind of ride along on the magic of your words.  This one had me thinking a lot, reading -- reading again -- funny how that is.  I really do love your style.

Journeys are indeed meant to be remembered,
some, perhaps, scribbled down, lead lines
on some virgin paper...

remembered by some, but by those who chance
to pick them up...

they are felt deeply and knowingly.

Well done, Sir.  It's so good to have you back again.
