     Poet’s Eulogy

When this ‘poetic heart’
    be still,
bury me by starlight
on some distant hill,
in silent-forest eulogy
where my unanchored soul
   may dance,
with galaxies drifting
   in and out of Time;
and, my gentle voice
   forever whisper,
(with forgiveness for all
   Life’s transgressions)
of love’s eternal magic
and Nature’s infinite
   truth!

your "poetic heart" shall never be still
it will beat in all the words you leave behind
and these words are truly lovely...

Yo Secondhanddreampoet,

This is truly excellent work.  It moves along very smooth like.  I dig it.

so beautiful of the sadness. there must be many  , many good poems out of the hill later.

You always write fine, emotional poems...with a sense of as broad and deep as the universe ....limitless but powerful.

enjoyed as always.

The vision this poem created was so beautiful that it came alive for me...I saw stars moving across the heavens while sprinkling stardust on the hill...Absolutely magnificent...*Big Hugs*

Bruce~
If I didn't know better ....
I would swear that I wrote this -
(at least my heart thinks so)

'Poet’s Eulogy

When this ‘poetic heart’
    be still,
bury me by starlight
on some distant hill,
in silent-forest eulogy
where my unanchored soul
   may dance,
with galaxies drifting
   in and out of Time;
and, my gentle voice
   forever whisper,
(with forgiveness for all
   Life’s transgressions)
of love’s eternal magic
and Nature’s infinite
   truth!'

You know what ?
I reckon that's about the highest compliment I could pay you~

Dear man...I suppose it is a poet thing to think of death while living...maybe even the other way around, you think?  A lovely place to be, that hill.

... and this one, Bruce! How do you do it? There are no words to describe how fine this work is. I have to go outside and walk it and breathe it.
