Acknowledging Small Spaces

Faint, the heartbeat of the setting sun
Featherweight sighs sing to day undone
Tempting symphony from bud to be
All that blossom ever dreamed set free

Hum, the least of wishes way fare roam
Nestled inside, carry on for home
From the red rock canyon to the dusty plain
Most abundant thirsts the hint of rain

Let to flutter, cupped within my heart
Gentle energy that threads the days apart
Letting go of magic, love in majesty
Carry on as fate’s trajectory

Thin, the blood made cool in morn’s remark
The little things that seem concrete embark
Perhaps a pocket where my soul is kept
The slight of heartbeat murmurs derelict

Yet, spring has come to keep the peace inside
A reclamation cast the cold abide
Running rampant as the journey comes
Fill me still with warm forever hums
