Memories of us
slip by in my head
of a night
when all is still
and I'm left
with just my thoughts.
Those days
when we would talk for hours
and still find something to say,
Those times when we shared
our fears
and became so immersed in each others pain
that we almost became one.
Those weeks
when we would be apart
and miss each other so much
that it bought an ache to the heart.
So natural
and so easy
the way
our hearts and minds
just linked as if they'd never been apart.
But times change
and we're feeling the pressure
as distance tears us down
and breaks us
so we're both left
clinging to our memories
and searching for those moments
of days gone by.

Nicely written with all the angst of a lost love.

a good commitee can decimate communication.

you read my heart, mind, and soul with this...I know you're not the person I lost...but damn you sure did write it out better than I ever could!!
