Twilight

The twilight of my night is here
I cannot make it disappear
It weights me down a heavy sight
Its colors fussed and now are white

It vacillates in misty dew
And more impossible to view
Impregnates now a dossal mind
Entangled in a hopeless bind

The butterfly is caught the sky
In updrafts of the bilge of why
For tails too long upon a kite
Make chaos of a steady flight

And thought it ever speaks of dare
It must in flight a sober air
Or turn in dash and spiral down
Too soon to crash upon the ground

And though I know the twilights light
I hear but whispers of the night

Seymour,

Your poetry still facinates me as it takes me on your journey through differing stages of life....

I know, I think...

and I hear whispers
of beating wings...

and yes,

me too.

"Its colors fussed and now are white" I love this and it tells all. how beautifully say "its color fussed"

"And thought it ever speaks of dare
It must in flight a sober air
Or turn in dash and spiral down
Too soon to crash upon the ground"

sir, so many angels around you so you know how strong the wind is. so prepare to soar
up, up, and high and higher!"

enjoyed as always.

A most enjoyable read.
