Love and hate

I can love you
just as easily as I can hate you,
hearts and venom interwined
so close
sometimes you can't see where one ends
and the other begins.

Rivers of love
mixed with the thunderstorms of hate,
It can never be predicted
which one will fall.

Just like a switch
my feelings go on and off
pulling you in
then pushing you back
wanting to talk to you
yet wanting to ignore you.

A constant battle between my head and heart
one wants love
and the other wants hate

Your words are like candy to the eye
yet can cut like me like a knife
splitting to the very core
of my heart.

love and hate
furiously battling side by side,
knocking me down
then bringing me back up.
Light turning to dark,
sun turning to rain,
colours turning to black.

You are the god of conflict
always center stage
in the drama that is my soul.
