Whatever Will Be

I suppose there comes a point in life
where you don't analyze things anymore
you don't shuffle thoughts or try to answer
all the questions like you did before.

You don't attempt to reason why
or get on track so you can say
"I may be onto something here",
growing decision trees that go one way.

You no longer create hypotheses
or state that you have a mission
you don't talk about tomorrow
or justify yesterday by wishin'.

Life doesn't become easier at all
it's difficult whether you're bound or free-
trees don't always grow up to the sky
and you won't always find out why...
but nothing's strange when you finally see

to believe in whatever will be.

I felt a strong strength in this poem. yes, the strength of standing up and preparing to soar.

When the past and the future don't interfere, you can enjoy the moment of Now.
Yes believe in whatever will be, in its intrinsical value.

Significant words, very efficiently rendered feelings.

Love and hugs.

this is a great poem, one from somebody who has learnt to accept lifes changes and twists, someone who perhaps now realises that they have all the experience and emotional tools to deal with whatever comes their way. it has a comfortable factor about it and i liked that alot.

I like yuour way of thinking Dixie gal.
Well done!

For it was not into my ear you whispered
But into my heart..
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul.

‘Life’ eventually ‘gets away from’ us all !......

I especially liked:

“I suppose there comes a point in life
where you don't analyze things anymore
you don't shuffle thoughts or try to answer
all the questions like you did before.”

and:

“You no longer create hypotheses
or state that you have a mission
you don't talk about tomorrow
or justify yesterday by wishin'.’

much applause ....for this
thoughtful/philosophic ‘write’!

We all ride on such a path through life

My mind is like lightning
One brilliant flash and its gone

Reminds me of the old Doris Day song below ,I guess remembering  that is showing my age

Que Sera, Sera,
Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours, to see
Que Sera, Sera
What will be, will be.

actually Hope S said exactly what I wanted to say (same song, same era, universal truth) but I like the old saying that says we should learn to have the courage to change the things we can, the grace to accept the things we cannot, and the wisdom to know the difference (regarding change, of course) excellent write, enjoyed

I too have watched you grow Dixie
and been truly amazed

I have yet to find the point where I don't try to answer the questions
it just becomes a more peaceful search
and the answers are much more clear

keep on keeping on dear friend

I am always impressed with your ability to at once display strength and vulnerabilty and express it in a tender language.

there does come a time when you just live, and you captured that, beautifully.
