Where have you gone,
so deeply, madly, without me?

Summer is coming,
and like time in a basket
I swing from your hand,
covered with monk cloth.

I have touched your variegated mind
with my rich and wild yearning,
then tried contentment as a bridge
over the loud voice of my river.

But still my threads weave
with the abandon of a wild rose,
over the steadfast tree
into the copse.

I touch your tender back
with my eyes only,
so you will not turn around
and lose your focus.

Tight, this mouth;
the heartbeat weaving of my breast to you,
knowing how your lips would feel
as your tongue pried me open
and parted my vagrant heart
with your hard truth.

Instead,
I watch you go,
deeply, madly, without me.

EXQUISITE!!!

For it was not into my ear you whispered
But into my heart..
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul.

I really LOVE some of these lines and images,

for example:

“time in a basket”

“I have touched your variegated mind
with my rich and wild yearning”

“my threads weave
with the abandon of a wild rose”

v. fine!!

your internal rhymes and countless visuals keep the reader high stepping through a palpable sense of life and it's grandeur.
Terrific write....filled with passion

I have touched your variegated mind
with my rich and wild yearning,
then tried contentment as a bridge
over the loud voice of my river.
