The Poet’s Invocation

Deep within the confines of my heart
Rivers of emotion flow freely;
Twisting together, then sweeping apart
In a never ending dance of feeling.

Ideas intertwine within my mind,
Beautiful yarns of creation mingled together,
Waiting to be separated onto the spools of thought
And woven into a tapestry of beauty to last forever.

The colors of sadness, of joy and love,
All spread upon the canvas of imagination,
Reflect the beauty of the earth, and the sky above,
And await the artist’s brush of inspiration.

And so, I invoke the power of my muse,
To guide me in my poetic recitation,
That I may take all this beauty I have to use,
And pour it into my literary evocation.

~you reached inside, you touched my heart,
and I am all the better for it~

Blessed be, and so mote it be.

There is a gentleness to your work that is very soothing.

Serenity ~~ Thank you, my friend.

Marge ~~  Thanks so much.  I guess my muse has returned, after a very, very, very loooong sabbatical.
