The Oncoming Storm

Waves of emotion rise within my soul,
Churning and roiling beneath my skin;
Seeking release from the composure that holds,
Yearning to break free from deep within.

Held at bay by strength of will,
Yet ever growing in power and strength;
No longer able to remain silent and still,
Crashing against the levees of calm and peace.

Rains of sadness and showers of joy
Floods of both anger and happiness,
Pelt down upon the shores of this lost little boy,
And seep out through the cracks of consciousness.

And so, no longer able to contain
These elemental furies within this mortal form,
I soak my sacred sword in ink once again,
And prepare my parchment for the oncoming storm.

Hello again, everyone!  It has been a while since I have written anything, but I think that my muse has returned with the coming of spring!I have begun to feel a welling up of ideas and feelings that I just have to share.This poem is hopefully a prelude to many good things to come, as I feel it is time to start letting my feelings free once again.I am just glad that I have all of you to share them with!

~*~* Love to you all,

~you reached inside, you touched my heart,
and I am all the better for it~

OhMYTerry~

If I could have asked for a *gift* this morning ... it would have been the beauty of the return of your muse~

'I soak my sacred sword in ink once again'

Adore the ink of you, my dear friend~

What an excellent piece this is.  Will look forward to reading all that you have waiting in store for spring.

This is an enjoyable read! Nice to meet you, and I really hope you continue posting.

enjoyed. It is very good. powerful.

"Yearning to break free from deep within." I read this line four times before I read that you soaked your sward.
