No Rain Today
By Paul Wilson

A thought passed thru my mind today then it was gone
in less time than a tear drop takes to fall
My feelings hardly ever exposed… memories buried deep
within my heart most I can’t even recall

I’m getting better at missing you
even though it’s taken it’s toll on me
Most days I’m wrapped up in the present
till the past and thoughts of you overtake me

Ever changing shapes of clouds in the sky
leave me guessing and asking why
The ups and downs we went thru
ended without us saying goodbye

Teardrops keep falling or is it the rain
washing away memories of you one at a time
There’s not a cloud in the sky today
so I’ll dry my tears and end these words of rhyme

Forecast for tomorrow same as today
no rain not a cloud in the sky
You have your life and I have mine
so this will have to be our last goodbye

I do love the rain myself
but too much of it is just unbearable

everyone needs a sunny day

good write Paul, good to read you again

Paul~
You write of feelings that so many have and don't know how to express~
You do it so well~

Beautiful, and poignant as always~

oh Paullie--

I think we both needs hugs today.

And the beauty of the hug is that it is designed for TWO.

Much love to you my dear friend.
