Sharp scents of summer snap under feet
Blades lean low as to signal defeat
Crisply formed fibers flash emerald rays
Broken bodies stand dead drooped in day
Bashed and bright lay the meadow sleeping
Half lay lifeless and half are knelt weeping

I like the last line most of all...I can see blades of grass knelt weeping.  Fabulous imagery.

I felt the great sorrow.
I say,
Soft aroma of summer shaving in the air.

A very sentimental one.
it is very interesting that I kept thinking how beautiful the lawn is behind your poem.

Perfecto!  Loved that last line....that is exactly how our mower does it, too.
