For a moment
The momentum
Of being
Fell in

Previous abjectly failed
To build any future foundation
The next second about to occur
Somehow missed the train

And then again
Whatever spark returned
And things as usual
Began to whir

Yet not before
An instant
Inquiring

Where was the I
That now is here
