.

At first light
The slender columns
Seem to move

One thinks of gods
Who being stirred
Came down to woo
Some mortal jewel
That made them men again

It is in deed . . .a stolid
Pathetic philosopher Diogenes
Who accepts whatever weather
Or another comes his way

Nor marks a difference
Between livid clouds
Over a fetid field

And the golden sun—
Rising— on a limpid sea

Excellent choice of words. Especially "Nor marks a difference
Between livid clouds
Over a fetid field"
I really loved it.
