Visiting Earth on a Guest Pass

In a communion,
life beyond death beyond life;
these moments given,
bare touch of forehead, yearning,
to mourn, to rejoice, to love.

Forehead
to life

thought
to live

left, to right
shoulder to shoulder

we bear
burdens...

to those who lift the cup in communion
pray for us.

"In a communion,

Those two lines
took my breath away.

Time and again, Ed...you write with enough power to light sun for heaven.
  Very well done.

Ed

"to mourn, to rejoice, to love."

To have felt those three things in one's life, is to live the way life is intended. Beautiful!

bare touch of forehead to me is intellecutual spiritual awareness

in the inbetween place and oh that yearning can sometimes be so beautifully bittersweet (does that make sense) but to me you've described it perfectly
profound

"... yearning,
to mourn, to rejoice, to love."

Powerful write, it touched my soul.

always seeking joy, adventure and romance and wishing you find the same

Somehow I feel this calls for a simple response, not a lot of my blather. *S*

So beautiful... *S*

I really enjoyed this poem. It's one of those writings you wished you'd written. Very beautiful.
