Of The Reefs Jagged Teeth

Novice surfers were not born
to take on the Pipelines scorn.
If you think you can take it
well climb on in, but be
prepared to sink of swim.
Hold your breath,
guard your teeth,
if the Pipeline runs
over you, you'll
know the grief,
of tumbling bodys
banging upon jagged reefs.
Danger, danger,
friends and strangers
find your strength,
beware that which lies
just beneath, beware the
pain and the grief of
the reefs jagged teeth.

I love your writing.  The general topics change and have an inner depth that could relate to other things.  Let's bump this to the top, shall we?

I remember standing on the shore and how small I felt when I watched those waves...there was no way I was going in that water. But to watch...I have yet to see anything to compare to that awesome beauty

I adore watching the surfing championships on TV and always daydreamed about trying it when I was young.  Never had the chance.  Sounds pretty thrilling and scary really.  *hugs*...jo

Thank you Roneice, miscellanea, Lee J., Paula and iliana for the nice responses...
The reefs are some parts lava rock and some parts coral...
The combination of the waves pounding you to the bottom and holding you under water, and the sharp reefs can be treacherous...
I wrote this from talking to some that have surfed the Pipeline...its interesting to listen to their story's...I have not surfed the Pipeline...James
