For me,
'tis never hard to see
when eyes are focused
and mind is clear
'bout those I loved
and held so dear.

Oh, those memories
of years gone by,
buried deep within the sorrow
of a grieving father's cries...
there springs a realization,
unearthed, amongst the truth and lies.

Yesterday, there was a price to pay
for the blessings of freedom
we all share today.
And, tho, that quiet sadness
still lingers in my heart...regrettably,
hopefully it never departs.

Least we not forget,
for every tomorrow
there will be a yesterday...
and for the someones, of the world,
there will always be
another's price to pay!
