Heartbeat

If I could hear the heartbeat
Of every living thing
My head would brake down
And my heart would sing

My ears may hear better then normal
And my eyes may see more than probable
But my heartbeat’s the same as yours
That much is solvable

I may sing my heart out all day long
I can’t always remember all the words
To all the songs I know
Or all the songs I’ve heard

My heartbeat is racing down the tracks
I don’t know how to stop this race
Or what would happen if it stops
I don’t have the strength to come face to face

This may be a poem about nothing
Or it could hold all the secrets we
Have been looking for this day
It just hear for a heartbeat

If love were a picture that painting would never be finished.
