Let me know what you think. I Remember it All: I remember all the pain you put me through All the slashes, hair pulls and tugs All the hurt still aches and pounds The bruises, headaches and blood I remember all the noise of hatred All the hurtful words I tried to ignore All the screaming and savage pounding And the thunderous thuds on the door I remember all the times I've cried All the times my tears had kissed my face All the times I had trembled in fear Feeling so alone, ashamed and disgraced I remember all the times we'd never spoken All the dinners that the table had never seen All the laughter and smiles that were pretend As our "loving family" is never as it seems Most my wounds have healed with time All the blood and tears have washed away My jacket had miraculously mended But the pain still wants to stay: All the feelings still rush back All the tears still know their place All the hurt still stays inside And my soul still quivers with disgrace Hard words have bruised this child All the screams, cries and pounds remain All the hurt is locked inside my heart Still piercing and aching in pain I never seem to find an escape All the wounds still leak with blood All the moaning memories still haunt this spirit And the emotions still frequently flood No, I'll never forgive my father Not even if he would beg and crawl Because I'll forever hold the agonizing moments Never forgetting a single tear, I'll always remember it all [This message has been edited by HersheyKiss (11-16-2008 07:58 PM).] |

I know this feeling all too well. I honestly say that I too haven't fully healed from my experience. And I'm afraid I never will. But I still make an effort to try to forget it.. Great poem -Zach I'D RATHER BE ANYTHING BUT ORDINARY!!!! XP |
