i once met a man in a bus stop,
he spoke many words of wisdom,
in reality he was a drunken mess,
don't really know where he came from.

but in that mumbled chaos,
spoke some very fine words indeed.
he tried to give me a lecture,
he did infact succeed.

'there is a very thin line, between love and hate'
he slurred his drunken words,
he looked through me, not quite at me,
what he said next, went unheard.

i was in a trance unable to speak,
your face appareared  before me,
i thought of us and how we've changed,
and i then began to see.

long ago i loved you,
i gave you all i could,
i trusted you with everything,
did exactly as i should.

you ripped out my heart,
cruelly through it on the floor,
stamped on it hard,
watching floods of tears pour.

love turned to hate,
i burned all your clothes,
shredded the letters,
and then the photos,

but then i heard that man,
and what he had to say,
i realised i love you,
in some sick and twisted way.

if i didn't love you,
i wouldn't really care,
but i want you to be mine again,
this time i refuse to share.

Expect nothing, Prepare for anything.
