Sheer desperation
Seems to claim my heart
While I wait for you
To take me
For my rightful part
Beside your side
In regal attire
Before ourlands
Are ravished by fire

Soon I will leave
With nerves of steel
To take my place
For I do not feel
The pain
That comes and goes
With my conscious mind

Nerves are all I have
I face this monster
On my own I will be
Excitement is not the word I use
For me going to this place
