Rain in the Offing

I wait for the moonlight
Layered in rain
And oh the swing’s height
Driving me insane

My ring initialed CTR
Reminds me of how to behave
And my eyes search far
For the advances I crave

I’m waiting for you
It’s harder than you’d believe
Nothing seems true
So thus these lies I cleave

Irony tempting the boiling air
Places where all is silence
Regret runs rampant, free unfair
Never dares near recompense

I end up where I initially began
With hardly more than a dime
From this place I have ran
Into the eternal folds of time

Probably my favourite part. Loved it!
