it was within the day dreams of my eyes
the girl of your woman looked from her window
she gave diamonds as glances to the dawning sky
and then placed her lips as whispers along horizons

the woman of your girl looked from her window too
perhaps for the footprints of her lover there
as the brim of her misting pathway
she listened for heartbeats of galloping stallions

there was a shivering of dew on the hedges
a misting of shadows under branches and limbs
as the soldier trees guarded her from passion
and from the passing stranger with captured eyes

her glances danced on tiptoes around and down
searching secrets for answers in a lover's sound
and of sudden there was as the lancer's pique
blushed red and bold even in the midst of chivalry

just a single moment's rose discreetly serpentined

~&~

She, and I, will probably always listen
for that impending sound.

Loving it...
thank you.

Awesome as always but these lines ....

----------------------------------------------
she gave diamonds as glances to the dawning sky
and then placed her lips as whispers along horizons
----------------------------------------------

hold their own beauty and magic.  Keep penning and I will keep reading.

aroused in passion
her blushing outdoes a rose
her thorns draw his blood.

You know after I read your poems I have this urge to grab the Windex and clean my windows.  You know just in case.

If I'd never read any of your work, never been entranced by your words, those two lines alone would have made me a fan. *S*
