.

Slowly
Yet surely

Each day
More clearly
The deep
Dark sea

From dawn to dusk
And into the night

Another generation
Is melting away

So true.....and scarry and hope we can reverse the signs of our doings.

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.

I just recently read how the superpowers are scrambling to "claim" land in the Arctic as it becomes exposed, and new sea lanes opened up. People are joking about climatic freezing trends on a small scale, and ignoring the bigger picture. To heck with the science wrapped in ideology---just open your eyes!

This is a powerful poem.

Thanks,

art

Fly like an eagle or write poetry, It's got to be one or the other.

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.

Hehe.  It's true that the world is slowly heating up.  Perhaps it's our doing, but perhaps it's not.  just some food for thought.

John,

There's more of the deep, dark, sea than there used to be.  It's due to the ice caps melting.

Good luck to those that follow.

Where no tyranny is tolerable

... But ... where did all the new ice agers go in the seventies?
Where did all the nuclear freezers go in the eighties?
And all the global warmers in the nightes?
Perhaps, as history suggests,
tyranny will rear its ugly head in the East again,

and we might have to go to war again.
The greatest threat to the human race is not anthropogenic ally caused climate change.
The greatest threat to humanity may be humanity itself.

This poem is a great discussion starter, but you never know!
