Listening to every heart

She Said............Hello

It was an incredible first word

a beginning
and a promise
blended into a breath
becoming a given pledge

the creation of paradise on earth

a coming home
a warmth
an opening
invitation to forever

the creation of paradise on earth

and like the sound of angels wings
like spirits of old welcoming new
a pronouncement of the heart
pressed soft to the ear of the receiver

the creation of paradise on earth

all she bestowed was the whisper of

eternal sun
a sanctuary for the soul
endless journeys into night
promises never to be forgotten

yes, it was an incredible first word.

Karilea, I just got tingly goosebumples all over me! Last evening, I was telling someone about when my dear, dear friend and I met over 27 years ago. She walked in my front door and said, "Hello. I'm Ilona." Her "hello" had so much warmth that I never forgot it.

You have vividly brought back that memorable ~ and fateful ~ greeting of so many years ago, with this fine write. Thank you!

Love & Sun Light,
Linda

I ain't no 'she' but hello!!

I have always really appreciated your poetic wisdom and talent.

I know what you mean by that beautiful hello.
I still get the feeling when my daughter drops in....You know what I mean?
Enjoyed this thought immensely.

Take care

I am reading this for the first time in the late night of my "aside" for quiet meditation alone, and this beautiful poem fills the passing moments with richness. Your art and craft, and the wisdom upon which it is built, is a gift to the appreciative reader. I am becoming a true fan!

Thanks, Sunshine (I haven't come to call you Karilea yet. )

Hi Sunny,

This is a very good poem and I enjoyed the read. As I read though, for some reason, I thought of Whitman's method of breaking lines on there natual pause.

This is good though and I see you write well.

Much enjoyed

Hello Karilea..

Sometimes a 'hello' can mean oh so much more.
It's as though perhaps you have heard it before, somewhere in time...

Heart hugs for this beauty.

Hello can mean so many things dear Karilea, it's the way that it is spoken that denotes

friendliness, impatience, inquiry, curiosity or just plain boredom. You wrote it well. Love

Okay. *G* Being a fellow Neil Diamond fan, you KNOW what song I'm now singing... and probably will be singing all day... right? *G*

But... aside from the annoying sounds coming from my throat *G*... this is pure delight!

This is delightful - another one I was certain I had replied to (must have read it the first time on a lightning in-and-out flight into and out of Pip when I should have been doing something else! ).  It is so very special and so very Karilea to notice special things about people, that nobody else would, and weaving it into a an enthralling poem, that one reads over and over (that's how I discovered that I didn't reply to it after all!).

Hello
Do I need to add???

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.
