Sweet Dear Marge

Oh, that we should be so respected, and so beloved
If miracles were based on how much one is loved
then Marge would ink her pen today.
Her words were the soft whisper of wings in flight
Half gliding, in full smile, full of wondrous delight
a world made smaller since she couldn’t stay.

Such warmth and glow exuded in her words of magic
Beautiful Storybook Woman,  with ending made tragic
Weight of sorrow is ours to bear
May the outpouring of so many softly ease the pain
To the family, from her friends, in an angels refrain
Heaven shines brighter with Marge being there.

When living a life was harsh, she was there with a hug
A Woman of Gentle Miracles to make one feel snug
For each of us, she had time to give
Uplifted with her spirit, and guided by her glow
It’s by her example, that we know which way to go
She taught us how to love, taught us to live

The world can never repay Marge
for all the love she invested in it.

Just when I got my crying under control ~ yet again! ~ I read your moving poem and the waterworks are starting up all over again.

Bless you for this.

Love & Margie Light,

~sigh~
I'm supposed to be working but
can't.
nor can I blink away the sorrow.
Marge, when I first got here, as ShadowRider years ago, encouraged me weekly to write.
I won't forget her, the kindness or her words.  Ever ...

I'm deeply sorry for your loss. It happened before I joined this hallowed place of penmanship.

But that was the most beautiful tribute poem I've yet seen. And it makes me truly sad that I never knew Marge.

With love and respect.

ShadowRider!!! Hi, I remember you! It's been about 6 years since you last graced these pages under that name! I recall you writing a memorable poem, as well, for when Madame Chipmunk passed away.
I adored Lyra, as well.

Marge was right, you should keep on writing your beautiful verses. I think she encouraged us all in one way or other to keep expressing our feelings.

Thanks, Titia

"For each of us, she had time to give"

She did indeed...I know I was blessed to call her friend and sister.  Thank you for writing this, Jeff.

The best we can hope for is to pay it forward whenever we can... and we'll still be in debt.

This is beautiful... thank you!
