Fallen Angel

Wanting to crawl back to the safety of the womb,
It bawled into fetal positions echoing whimper cries
Fallen from a pedestal of grace of society costumes
Fragile piece of polished perfect crystal model die.

Shattering pieces razor shards wail hollow scream
So alone - the chills quaked heartbeats endless moan
More dead than alive - living suicide to decide dreams
Nails scraping veins crust bearing soul’s vain stone.

Headstone carved out of granite birth weathers alone
Forbearing dread creeping forlorn shadows clammy cling
Smothering treason to die, where one crawls bare bone
Spirited reasons to live, where one walks nude’s leaf spring.

Wings needed mending.
Pieces needed tending.
Scars needed nursing.
Souls needed healing.
Mind needed loving.

She then spread her feathers
Upon the quill of the universe
Where her spell cast such weather
Every crystal star sparkled singing its verse.
If only a Fallen Poet could sparkle so.

Note: Written in Nashville, where there are more fallen Angels, than rising Angels. Since this is for the feminine gender, I guess my wings are still clipped to dreams. I feel more like the first two stanzas trying to make the third work, with the last two working to the last line’s meaning.

Beautiful Poem depicts the rise and fall then rise again of a celestial being,
Angels have never been human so have no human devices
Loved this poem it is the sort of writing i can never do so admire the ones that can
Thank you for sharing this

This is my favorite part...it's like the desire in writer never dies...

Thank You amusemi for your words and I live those words and dream to fly.

Working Unnamed

Can I be cast upon a whisper as gentle as a caress
Where my soul writes the currents of tranquility
Resting in peace with living suicide reasons to live
So many say suicide is no answer to God’s world
But maybe its cutting the umbilical cord to power
Where it corrupts moral fibers with Katrina wrath sword
Devastation of a White House having lost compassion.

There will be no Declarion of Independence on January 21, 2009. It will be the equality of politics status quo. While Hillary was tied to Bush too much, Obama is more of the same of having no real change. I am a Democrat that know is switching to Independent. Do not get me wrong Obama was the best choice, but a Kennedy he is not. Obama is another Tory Politician.

So sad, but we are like Nashville, a Music City that has lost its soul to sing in America's heartbeats, but dies in Bush's Hoover Depressions.

Yes Santa, there is no Obama dream for America, more of the same. Obama you have left out the Liberal HeArt of America that is why there will not be a Statue of Liberty at your Inaugural, just another nail in Civil Liberties coffin that reminds us of a crushed Lady Liberty of Chinese Freedom and Democracy.
