the wall
so long under construction
Broke today

and water flowed
down embarrassed cheeks
over a tired chest
and a weary heart

‘learn to live like you’re loved’
she just didn’t know
what That meant
she didn’t know how to feel anymore
and the crack that had so long threatened to open

finally burst

because someone
took the time to care

Very poignant, and not at all unfamiliar to almost anyone I would bet.
