~*~

Shaded beneath the evergreens
the sunlight dapples through the eaves
where shadows shimmer
shifting the sunlight
that slants across the leaves.

Leaning into the curve
of branches unfolding
catching the rays in a warm embrace
savoring the magical moments
that simmer in the slow heat.

Cascading in the shadows of dusk
before the day retreats
behind twilight's curtain
pastels veil the night
diffusing the skyline
in blue rhapsodies.

I have noticed how the evenings at dusk here in Cali can hold such heat, thought I was the only one sweating, lol!!

This is truly beautiful poetry, singing the wonders of trees showered with dappled light from the warmth of the golden sun.
What a gorgeous write, bluesy gal.

Rhapsodies of a view
so enchanting, like cool

Blues -

I can feel that evening breeze evaporating the day's dampness from my skin... mmmm... time for that glass of cabernet!  Thoroughly enjoyed this!

Heat in your words sounds just so desirable.

Dear Lori, you caught the atmosphere masterfully.

Bluesy!!!!  Dang girl, what a pure TREAT to read you again, and when you sing the melodies of nature, my gosh, I see the scenes unfold right in front of my eyes.

I've so missed reading you hon!!  Hugs n peace  ~D
