Babies sweet asleep,
tucked beneath their quilts
with teacher's kisses-
waking now in Buddha's arms.

My Sichuan sister-
hearts are breaking
as we feel your pain.
Where is Amah
and your precious Dao-Ming?

Kuan-Yin weeps
a spreading sea of tears,
pooling in the rumble
as it slides.
*a year today since the devastating earthquakes in Sichuan province in China.  I wrote this last year.
