Apache Rain.

None has there been so beautiful as you
your presence shines aloud
the sun awakens when you are there
and chases away every cloud,

the graceful way you walk into the wind
the flow Of your beautiful black hair
the day has permanent sunshine
the very minute you are there,

your eyes of black, that show the love
and the compassion of your grace
is etched in your flawless beauty
of your angelic Apache face,

“Apache rain” please never change
your very soul is your endeavour
and the memory of your existence
will live no moor, “Forever”

Annie, the title drew me in too, and OH, WHEN I SAW IT WAS ABOUT A HORSE, it made my day!!!  I read it 3 times more.  I am animal-crazy, and the well-salted Pipsters know so much about my darling Flicka who went to Heaven on 28 April 2002.  I have written many poems about him before and since his death.  He was the most wonderful horse in the world, but Apache Rain sounds absolutely wonderful too.  Thank you so very much for writing such a wonderful poem about her.  I wasn't sure if she is still alive.  The part at the end was a little ambiguous.  If she isn't, she will have met my beloved Flicka in Heaven and they will be wonderful friends.  He loves everyone, people and animals of all kinds.  If she is still alive, please will you (or your friend) give Apache Rain lots of hugs and kisses and eye to eye talk and nose to nose rubs from Auntie Di from sunny South Africa.

Upon reading in your reply that stated this poem is about a friend's horse that had passed, I went back to enjoy your words even more the second time around!

I'm glad that Diana got to read this beauty. Her response brought a smile to my face.
I can imagine Flicks and Apache Rain galloping together ~ spirited and free, on heaven's green pastures!

Thanks every one Sadly Owl Apache Rain passed away, but she had a long and wonderful life full of love and she was pampered,
She didnt have a good start in life but she finished her life in the best home,
And she was loved...

The tears are flowing for Apache Rain's passing.  However, I am very happy that she ended her life where she was very loved.  Believe me, she WILL have met Flicka (as Linda - Earth Angel confirmed!  smiles!), because Flicka will have met her at the gate.  As I said Flicka absolutely adores all animals (and people) and they all adore him too and he will have shown Apache Rain around Heaven and all its green meadows where they will spend many hours galloping and rolling and playing and grazing and he will have introduced her to everyone in Heaven and so she will have lots and lots of friends and be very happy and she and Flicka will meet your friend and you at the gate when you get there.

I am glad you understand, Annie.

You didn't freak me out.

Let me tell you a secret.  All animals are real beauties.

You unravel your beautiful heart with this one, dear Annie, and most assuredly "Apache Rain" feels your love.

Interesting thread, with Diana's added emotions too ...

Love,
