burlap sack goes with me,
everywhere I go…
I only have one
but it’s a couple of plastic bags
that I will forego

some people have a bunch of them
and want to look at my one as if it were a crime
I just smile and say I’m saving the planet
one bag at a time…

~SEA~

*you can get these bags at Whole Food Markets

http://blog.wholefoodsmarket.com/2008/11/feed-100-bag/

this is exactly like mine
it holds a ton and? It zips together into itsself, so it can go right into just about any purse or just throw it back in the car.

YES! I have bags from two local grocery stores, and use them regularly, sometimes carrying the opposite store's bag.
LOL, but who cares?
Thanks for this, we can call ourselves the bag ladies!

yep

I like using mine.

did you know that some stores take 5 cents off if you use your own bag? I had no idea until I started using mine. Even the dollar stores have reuseable bags. They are kinda small lol but still....anyone can do it.

Years ago, I carried my backpacks in empty, and asked the cashiers to fill them before using plastic or paper. Some thought I was nuts, but I soon saw a few others at my local store doing the same thing. GRIN, it makes a difference, each little bag.
Yep, bag ladies we are, and now, we can have bag men too! Arctic, betcha you'll start using re-usables too.

I saw a show where the guy was saving his trash for an entire year and was going to make some kind of art piece out of it. I don't think you could fit all of my garbage into an art piece unless you wanted to add another head to Mt. Rushmore.

One head at a time.

Yo SEA,

I'm all for feeding the children of the world.  I used to be one.

The plastics industry fed me and my family for many years, and they still feed old retired me.

Does that make us evil?

The last ice age occurred about 25,000 years ago.  It was caused by the melting of the polar ice caps.  Man's picayune contribution to clouding the atmosphere is insignificant when compared to natural variations in climate.

Natural forces are massive.

Hey, and I’m a way liberal Democrat.  It does make interesting politics.

Just add me to the "bag lady" list. Even if we don't save the planet we will enjoy a cleaner, safer environment while we're here.

LOL at Arctic's overabundance of bags issue. If you have a stash of bags, put some in your car and leave them there. I sometimes forgot mine too, so now I just leave two or three in the car all the time, they come in quite handy, especially those zippered insulated bags!
Maybe we should create a Pips bag, with a circle of friends logo. RON????

How about it? LOL -- I will for sure remember to leave them in the car next time. Ou, zippered ones? Where can I get me one of those? I have kinda the same ones, but not zippered.

"one bag at a time…"

Good thoughts!  I have been using cloth bags for years and like some others, not always the same named bag as the store I am in.

I couldn't help it when I saw the picture but think of a feed bag full of horse apples.

OK, sorry thats so wrong on how many levels?

I think we all can do a lot to keep the Earth clean.

Keep it in the bag.

Tracey.
