The shower hisses and mists
hot as the heart of the tropics
and she slithers from her bedclothes
to slough off last night's skin.
I recall how, in the passionate hour
she coiled and recoiled
and her bottom jaw unhinged.
At first I found it sexy,
and she shook her rattle well,
but in the morning light I find
deep in the center of milky blue eyes
the cold blooded love of a reptile.

You know what it says in the good book.....As bitter as wormwood......Can't leave ya alone can I?
I'm just having some fun.

This is an superb metaphorical render of the morning after.

Take care

The alliteration in this resounds
well. Good job, Tao, and thanks for
taking time to read some of my writing.
