If I had
a billion dollars,
I’d create
the Chapman Prize,
a prize that would
rival the Nobel—
the prize
for simply
telling the truth,
and being
a politician
at the same time—

you know, the old
walking and chewing
gum thing?

Oh, you freaking,
lying donkeys
and elephants!

Ah, excuse me,
donkeys and elephants
of the wilds,
I didn’t mean
to demean you
by comparing you
to the politico/corporate
primates of the high flying,
lying jet set!

Oh, Lord,
turn my tap water
to wine, please?

I need a drink . . .

of truth.

Art, I would wager that if you were a politician, you would merit your own prize!

Yo Art,

As a person active in politics, and a retired Democratic Party ward leader, I take exception to your generalization.

I know many good, hard working, and honest politicians.

Bones is going to be active in politics when he grows up.  You can bet your life on that.

Hi, Bobby, I am a lifelong Democrat, but I don't make exception for the bad ones, Democrats or Republican. Party affiliation has to take a back seat, in my opinion, to integrity, and upholding the public trust. I see a need for improvement at all levels of government. I don't mean to step on anyone's political toes, I'm just a poet trying to deal with reality.

Thanks,

I also recognize that there are some fine, hard working politicians out there, but I am not targeting them with a broad brush. It's like old Momma Powell said---"Throw a rock up in the midst of scoundrels, and the one that gets hit by the truth is the one that hollers!" And you can bet your boots, Bones will get my vote.

gilead - about that billion dollars. No matter what, I really doubt if anything including any amount of money will change the idiots that are destroying the country. Now with that said, please send me a small piece of that billion, couple of million would do.

thanks,

BC
