Nightcrawler Blues, (lyrics in progress)

I got the nightcrawler blues, babe
an their keepin me...in muddy ground.
Ya, I got the nightcrawler blues, babe
a keepin me low down on the ground.
When you walked outta that door, babe
you didn’t even...you didn’t even...turn around.

Oh, I use to crawl for you baby,
but it don do no good no more.
Ya, I crawled every night for you baby,
but you still walked outta that door.
I got the nightcrawler blues, babe,
since you ain’t comin...ain’t comin round no more.

Well I cried for you every night babe,
but it didn’t...no it didn’t make you stay.
Ya I cried every night babe,
but you just turned your head away.
An now there’s a whole lotta hurtin
but these damn tears just...won’t wash it away.

I got the nightcrawler blues babe,
but you won’t even come around.
I got the nightcrawler blues babe,
an now I’m stuck in muddy ground.
And though I cried for you baby,
you said you still just...couldn’t stay.

Oh, I got the nightcrawler blues babe,
an their keepin me...on muddy ground.
Ya, I got the nightcrawler blues, babe
a keepin me low down on the ground.
When you walked outta that door, babe
you didn’t even...you didn’t even...turn around.

Yo dearest Kacy,

Snap out of it Hon.  Everyone comes and goes, while life goes on.

There's nothing wrong with being alone.  You can be your own best company.

I've found that to be true.

Love Bobby

Yanno? This fits perfectly with "Turtle Blues"...

and I dunno about nightcrawlers, but I've heard that if you light a match under a turtle y'can make him come out.

Not that I'd do such a thing...

I just hear stuff.

Oh I wish you were here...I could be your agent!!!

Love you Kacy Kindheart. *hugs*

Karen, ! drop those matches...
Lady, you could be my agent anyway.
And I would love to be in that position, to need an agent!
( bending over to sign a contract)

Thanks Bill, Bruce, Bobby for your feedback!
(It's not autobiographical, Bobby. I started these lyrics 30 yrs ago. Guess I'm kinda slow on finishing things. GRIN)

You wouldn't be the first to bend over for a contract.

Lawsy lady, your humor is sparkling wine!

Yes, Kacy, this sure is different from you, but absolutely delightful.  I knew immediately I saw it that it wasn't autobiographical, so I could enjoy it to the full!  Do you sing too?  And write music?  I'd love to hear it sung!

I have caught myself crawlin' a few times in life but usually because of that Jose spirit goes so well with lime and salt. Much enjoyed your lyrics and also the reality in them that so many come across.

Hmmm... Poetess AND Songwriter. I'm impressed.
You really need to get this set to music... a very subtle and complex rhythm appearing here. Could be a winner!

Thanks for reading, and for the encouragement!
Years ago I sang and occasionally picked on an acoustic guitar, though it wouldn't pass for 'real' playing, I did know how to strum a few chords.
