Lapel Pins Lapis Homily

Sunday billowed forth in color and fiddle-bow
Plump, the morning rose in palette purple clouds
To be circumspect, by low lying scent of melting night
Did I stand in utterance of the ghostly handed mist?
Welcoming the best dressed entrance of day
Not a shadow or chill could covet heaven’s gleam
Trees in motion with morning song and feathered beat
Hungry from winter, announcements replete
Thumbs of sanctity, lift dimensional view
Fine, the striking fit of the sun shines through,
Embossed upon the sky above
Did I stand, an observer or patron to this timeless fervor?

Grand imagery here! ...

I am particularly fond of the line:

"Trees in motion with morning song and feathered beat(!)"

applause!

This ...
-----------------------------------------------
Not a shadow or chill could covet heaven’s gleam
Trees in motion with morning song and feathered beat
-----------------------------------------------
pure poetry and then the earnest question at the end ... wrapped it up perfectly.

I simply like it all

Poet, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

I must confess...I read your work sometimes just to glean from your imagery...you do such a lovely job of putting its majesty to the page...really, really liked your last line on this one...fabulous
