I wish you could just understand,

I didn’t want an immature boy, I needed a man.

But somehow you just didn’t get it.

So you were a bad habit and I had to quit it.

I love you still, I really do.

Even after all of this that we’ve been through.

But this time there’s no turning back.

I’ve got to focus on me, and get myself back on track.

So I’ve locked the door and thrown away the key.

Before I let you go I just wanted you to see,

what really could’ve been between you and me.

And just maybe you didn’t see it,

I was the puzzle and you were the piece to complete it.

I could’ve been everything you asked for..

…and so much more.

All I ever did was love you and what did I get?

For you to break my heart and treat me like this.

I guess the word love has a different meaning for you.

What I spoke was from the heart, the feelings were true.

And as much as you tried to hide it, you had those feelings too.

Just know I’m better than your past, present, and your next.

So adios, and farewell.

I’ll find the right man but you just lost the best girl!
