The path ahead unknown
The tale ahead untold
My sanity breaking down
Waiting to drown
Under a sea of problems
New tides coming in
The old tides never leave
They just stay close,
To my heart, to my soul,
tearing at each little strand
Holding on, trying hard
To keep from bursting loose
Letting the waters come down
And my heart to the ground
Under my sea of trials
Which are too demanding of me
Too demanding of what I am
Just a child at heart
With no knowledge of stress
But a mind that knows well
Of it's causes and addresses
them daily, hourly
On each second of each day
Breaking me down
Tearing me apart
Breaking my heart
Breaking me.
