sigh. No sleep...AGAIN. Thinking too much to sleep and can't seem to write either. This is miserable. I don't really expect anyone to comment...just thought I'd send a sigh out into cyberspace. I can't remember the last time I slept for more than two hours without waking to pace...WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME????

i have the same problem...... and i'm sorry, i can't offer any solutions

insomnia isn't fun and sleep deprivation can cause altered perception, confusion, and an inability to get much accomplished .....

it stinks.

The weather changing, STRESS, thinking too much, pretty much everything going on in your life now? AS IF sleep was a possibility.
And Karen, hey, haven't heard from you in a looooooong while. Send some news, k?

I know exactly what you mean. Or at least I could claim to.   Sorry you're not sleeping well.  It doesn't do much for your perception of things either.   I'd tell you to get some sleep, but its frustrating for someone to say it when you know you can't. My husband says just go on to bed and maybe you'll fall asleep. I've read somewhere that it isn't good to just lie there an stare at the ceiling or whatever when you can't sleep.  I've been reading myself to sleep for the past couple of days. Just started a new job today, so I HAD to get more rest last night. LOL! So..read myself to sleep. Okay...I'm babbling. Geesh..Sorry you're not sleeping. It will come. Laters! Just try to relax you mind. I know..thats hard to do too..specially for writers..

This happens to me every now and then.....my solution is to pour a small glass of blackberry brandy, take a bubblebath, in candlelight and relax.

haha, Dopes..

I'm sorry about the sleep issue, Serenity.  I wish I could say something to help you out, but everyone else has already said the same things I would.  I will just leave you with mane big *HUGS*

Serenity sweetie, you're not alone in this...
The past three weeks I too have difficulty catching my zzz's (the body wants to crash yet the mind just won't shutdown hence three to four hours of sleep if lucky)...

Insomnia really SUCKS! Try eating turkey before you go to bed, it has a chemical that helps sleep along. Hope you get caught up on those ZZZZ's soon!

Dopes? you are talking to a woman who has set the house on fire FIVE times in four months... I am VERY GOOD at putting out fires...   and? (pouting) apparently good at starting them too! And? by the way, thanks for the great advice, but? don't know about me? but the boyfriend is pretty tired!
Thanks all...from the sleep deprived.

Perfect timing to read this, as I was up all night trying to deal with more bad news. Well, I did actually get into bed, but thats as far as it went..I am an insomniac generally anyway, but last night was a killer!
Peaceful sleep for you soon.

Serenity... I have a great suggestion for you.  I have insomnia and I went to the doctor and he suggested this and it's worked so well.
It's an herb called Melatonin.  You can get it at most drug stores.  It produces a natural sleep schedule in your body.  It's a pill, a very small one.. It takes a few days to work, but you take it every night at dinner.  It works wonders.  I hope all gets well...
