Hi all,

I hope some of you still remember me. It's hard to believe, but I've been gone from these forums for eight months. You could make a baby in that time. Maybe that means if I come back to PIP now, I'll be reborn as a great poet. LOL

I've had a serious case of writer's block. I still can't write like I used to. All I seem to be able to come up with is cute little one liners or "Hallmark Cards-like" rhymes. Jeez, is this what's become of me?

Normally, I wouldn't be that concerned about losing the Muse, but eight months?--c'mon, really now! Something's got to give soon or I'll simply forget it all together and never even think about trying to write another poem.

Anyway, thanks for listening.

Best to you all,

Gene

I remember you! And I understand, really! Try writing prose..that may help. Or go to the challenge forum...or become the resident pest in the Alley...you don't need to write prose or poetry there..just opinion!

Hi Sharon --
Hmm, a pest in the Alley. Sounds like a good idea. LOL

Hi Nan --
I enjoy reading, but I really miss writing. I want to be able to share more than just lurking around.

Hmmm...writer's block for eight months.  I just got through an eight month spell myself.  I once had a full twelve months of that writer's block.  I have a box full of unfinished poems.  I could start them but half way through it would fall apart.  Talk about the frustration.  It was bad.  But like everything that starts, it must come to an end sometime.  I am glad to see you back.  I was around back then but known as Scorched Dragon.  I had to leave that name behind, plus the new name fits me better.

Wow 8 months?!
Well even though I do not know you, welcome back! Hope to see your writing around.

Nice to hear from you. I always liked how you took on new forms--like Haiku. I remember when you weren't even sure what a Haiku was and now your writing them like a pro.

White Wolf --
Thanks for the encouragement. I think I remember giving you (S.D.) advice once when you were going through a dry spell. I'm always great at giving advice, but can't take my own.

Dopey_Dope --
Thanks, I'll be looking for your poems.

It's slowly coming back, I just wrote a poem today--nothing earth-shaking, but it's a start.

Thanks everyone.

Hi Gene, I understand how you feel.  I have only been away for a couple of weeks but I already feel like a stranger.  I have also been battling writers block and have been trying hard to get back into the swing of things.  Welcome back, may we both be filled with lots of inspiration!

GENE!!!!!! YOU'RE BACK!!!!!
Forget you? Of course I didn't forget you! I wrote a welcome poem for you! lol   How have you been??? Yeah, I've been having a lot of writer's block lately...didn't know this serious ailment could affect dragons, but it looks like it can.... Oh well, that's okay, I don't have much of a block right now! Hope you don't either!!!

Hope to see your new posts in the Pub, 'cause I'm afraid I won't venture outside into the Opens just the now...the Pub is getting hard enough to keep up with much less the Opens...

Best of dragon's luck to you,

Little Spyro T. Dragon

Human, my heart and soul be

Watching the poets
Passions' guardian dragon

Welcome Home Gene....there's a lot of good reading...lurking doesn't even come into play when you post a response...the muse?  She'll come...I'm packaging her up right now....she's been on my shoulder and I could use a break [as could the rest of Passions!...LOL]

It's really good to have you back Gene.
I hope you get back into the writing swing of things soon. I HATE writers block.
